A four-metre-high cross with integrated steps functions as an interactive installation that examines the intersections of personal responsibility, guilt, and self-transcendence. Handholds arranged at calculated intervals require participants to lift their legs, engaging the abdominal muscles through sustained physical effort. This bodily exertion becomes a metaphor for inner labour, proposing redemption not as an act of divine grace or an unearned gift, but as the consequence of consciously assumed responsibility, discipline, and perseverance. The work transforms physical effort into a space of reflection, where the body becomes both the medium and the site of personal confrontation.
